Windows Phone Store has reached 130,000 applications


Microsoft continued to fall up to develop the Windows Phone operating system to rival Google's Android and Apple's iOS. One way to approach the two rivals is to boost the number of applications.

Slashgear reported, Thursday, February 28, 2013, Microsoft has just announced a new milestone reached by Windows Phone developer community. Currently, more than 130,000 apps available in the Windows Phone Store, 15,000 of which are exclusive to Windows Phone 8 devices.

However, the number was still lags far behind its competitors, such as Google Play that already has more than 675,000 applications. Meanwhile, the Apple Store has now recorded more than 775,000 applications.


Since its initial launch, Windows Phone 8, Microsoft saw sales of smart phones increased rapidly. In the fourth quarter of 2012, sales of the device anyarnya quadrupled since the initial launch.
